Biography

Dr. Nicole Kester is a staff physician at Sunnybrook Hospital in the Department of Emergency Services and an assistant professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto. Her prior education leadership roles included Director of Emergency Medicine Simulation at Sunnybrook and coordinator of Citywide Emergency Medicine rounds, a tri-divisional postgraduate educational event. Dr Kester is interested in defining what makes high-stakes teams successful through research activities and curriculum development in interprofessional simulation-based training. She received the team-based Interprofessional Teaching award in 2020 and the CAME grant for Faculty Health Professions education in 2021.
