Pediatric and Neonatal Nursing

Pediatric and Neonatal Nursing is concerned with providing specialized care to infants, children, and adolescents that will promote their growth and development and overall welfare. During the 4th Edition World Nursing Science Conference, 2025 (NCS), this session will discuss the pivotal position of neonatal nurses in caring for mothers of preterm babies, children born with congenital anomalies, and other critically ill newborns and infants in neonatal intensive care units (NICU). It will also illustrate how pediatric nurses manage childhood illnesses, immunizations, and developmental challenges and empower families with preventive care education. In this presentation, attention will be given to the development of technology and evidence-based approaches, and the emphasis will be placed on the transformative role of these nurses in reducing actuarial mortality and promoting health development as well as in family support in a complex health journey.
